6. Sensitive permissions this app requests

Permissions vary by App. We only request a permission when it is needed for a feature you use. Before a sensitive permission is requested, the App should explain why. Common examples:

Camera or photos

Why the app asks: To capture or select images when a feature requires it (for example scanning, editing, or attaching a photo).

What this makes available: Images or camera frames you choose to process.

Our commitment: We do not use camera or photo access for advertising. Content stays on device unless you explicitly share or sync it.

Microphone

Why the app asks: Voice input or audio features you start.

What this makes available: Audio while the feature is active.

Our commitment: Audio is not used for advertising. Recording occurs only when you engage the feature.

Location

Why the app asks: Only when a feature needs approximate or precise location (for example maps or local context).

What this makes available: Location coordinates or region while the feature needs them.

Our commitment: If an App does not use location for advertising, we state that clearly in that App’s disclosures. You can revoke permission in system settings.

Notifications

Why the app asks: Optional alerts you enable (reminders, updates).

Our commitment: You can disable notifications in system settings at any time.

If an App does not request a permission listed above, that permission does not apply to that App.

7. Who receives data

We may use service providers to operate the Apps. Typical recipients when the relevant SDK is included in a build:

We do not sell your personal information for money. Advertising technologies may constitute “sharing” or targeted advertising under some US state laws; see Sections 16–17.

8. Advertising and your choices

Some Apps may show ads to keep core features free. Where ads are used:

Limits we accept: We do not use permission-based precise location solely for advertising unless an App’s notice says otherwise. Sensitive content categories are handled according to store policies.

9. Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

Where we use personalized advertising or non-essential analytics in these regions, we rely on consent collected through a certified consent management platform where required (including IAB TCF where applicable). You can withdraw consent at any time via the in-app privacy options (when available) or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

10. International transfers

We are based in Hong Kong. Service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States and the European Economic Area. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA/UK. You may request more information about safeguards by emailing [email protected].

11. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it, unless a longer period is required by law. Device-held content remains until you remove the App or clear its data. Support tickets are typically retained up to 36 months after resolution.

12. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk. Data transmitted between the Apps and our service providers typically uses TLS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use device lock screens and keep your OS updated.

13. Children

Our Apps are generally directed to a general audience and are not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in regions where a higher age applies for consent). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable age. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

14. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, to portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise rights, email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 days (or sooner if local law requires). We may need information to verify your request. For Apps without accounts, describe the App name, approximate install date, and any Privacy ID shown in settings if available.

15. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you within the meaning of GDPR Article 22. Ad delivery and fraud scoring by partners may use automated systems; those systems do not determine legal rights.

16. Notice to California residents

Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. If an App uses advertising SDKs, that may be “sharing.” You can opt out via OS ad settings, in-app privacy options where available, or by emailing [email protected] with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share.”

Categories collected in the prior 12 months may include identifiers, internet/app activity, device information, and commercial (purchase) information, as described in Sections 4–7. We retain data as described in Section 5. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.

You may designate an authorized agent. We will not discriminate against you for exercising CCPA rights.

17. Notice to residents of other US states

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including, where applicable, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and others) may have similar rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of targeted advertising or certain profiling. Use the contact methods in Section 20. Where required, we honor universal opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control for applicable processing.

18. Country-specific information

19. Changes to this notice

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the “Effective” date and version at the top. Material changes may also be highlighted in the App or on donshop.date.
